Hahax. Apologies for not blogging after i came back from OBS. Had no time, cuz i kept thinking the 5 days, i have lotsa to blog, so i needed time. And now, i have found time. Let's start on the OBS camp!=)

1st Day!

Woke at 7 and left the house by 730. Went to somewhere near punggol point jetty to eat. Dad sent me there. Reached at about 830. There were quite a number of schools there. Saw the marists there, and settled down with them. Waited till about 9+ then we got into the boat tht would send us to pulau ubin OBS camp site 1. 4 schools went to camp site 1 on the first day. Another don't know how many schools went to camp site 2. Broadrick sec, Si Ling sec, Northbrooks sec and Maris Stella High. We were then told which watch we were then we report there. I was sent to Washington, Qi Wei and Macus name was also called to go to my watch. Elated that Macus went to the same watch as me. We settled in the hall, and heard the course director talk his speech, then we went into our watch. Introduce ourselves etc. My instructor name is Cindy. And the day i/c is Zaki. She check the name list and call everyone's name, but Macus name wasn't in there. I was like omg. He is going to go another watch. Haha. nvm la. In the end, he was in the next watch, Tock Seng. Had 10 boys, 6 girls. 6 chinese boys, 4 malay boys, 5 malay girls, 1 chinese girl. Or rather indo-chinese. The instructor asked us to surrender our food, i/c, h/p and money. She showed us the way to the bunk. It was 11+ by then. Settled down, lay the bedsheet etc and slacked till lunch time at around 12. Went to the food house and ate our lunch. It is so "jail-like". Had a cabinet for the plates, bowls, cups, utensils and tray. There was 16 for each watch. And each person take a set and go queue for food. The rice can take any amount, budden the vegetables and meat the person scoup for u. There was syrup water during lunch and dinner. And apple/orange also. So we ate and went back to our bunk, we went to the store which was beside our bunk. The store placed our items for land, sea activities and going out to camp. We took the harness and helmet for climbing, and went for the belaying course. Cindy taught how to belay. It's easy. Then we went to play pitch basha. The watch had to pull the basha straight, then one person will climb up a few stairs and fall backwards onto the basha. haha. All went successful. Learnt how to pitch our shelter after that, for wednesday. By that time it was almost time for dinner, went back to shower and waited till it was time for dinner. For dinner, there was soup. And the soup taste like plain water!!!=X so bleaghx. Cindy talked to us and asked us about our day, we said ok, quite boring, then she was like 1st day some easy stuff, she said the following days would be tougher. Had supper at 9, it was red bean soup, the whole watch dont want, only 2 or 3 wanted to eat. We were to sleep by 11, then when 11, the instructors came, my watch the malays were like screaming like siao, really siao then run ard saying "instructors coming!". Then the instructors all heard the screams from a distance, and a strict instructor ask us out and wore our track shoes. He nearly made us have P.T at night, lucky he give us a chance, then we went back in, and many of them settle down. Except the malays went to talk. Couldn't sleep till 12+ going to 1. Heard the voices and was missing my lp erlot to sleep.

2nd Day!

Woke at 5.20am. Its quite early rite? lol. but nvm la, didn't feel tired though. Washed up etc, and everyone was to report to the flag raising place by 5.55am. The malays woke erbit later than the chinese. LOL. We had to wake them up. Had flag raising, then played some games then needed everyone. Quite fun. Then had the warm ups and jogged some distance. Had breakfast after that. They cooked fried noodles i guess and there was hot milo. The day i/c was Ruzanna. Went back to bunk, took our life vests and went to find cindy and gathered. She taught us how to kayak etc. Then we had the capsize drill near the land. Two ppl on one kayak, count one, two, three then flip the kayak over. Then she taught us how to get the water out. So, we all went out into sea, kayaking. One girl, called Sahkila was scared, she didn't even dare to capsize near land, so she was sent somewhere else, then we left 15 ppl, so one guy who have 1 star kayaking took a single kayak. Kayak quite far out, my partner was John. He does things very impatiently. Trying to be first in everything, everything want fast but not efficient. The beginning was very fine, budden halfway out at sea, we capsized, had to do the neccessaries. The instructors and others just look and see us do the thing. LOL. Then we moved on into the mangrove swamp, and then back to camp site. Showered, went to have lunch, i ate erlot. hahax. Saw Rosanne, Roxanne and another girl from rosanne sch and phpps but forgot what name it was. Also saw Jie Ying, which was the same tuition as me on sat with shun zhong. She is shun zhong's primary sch friend also. After that, we went for rock climing with tock seng.. Tock Seng got Macus, Wei Su, my closer friends. hahax. They set some target, uber lame de la. Like one ore for the rowing boat is 30 points or something, the 2 instructors 1000 points, a rowing boat, dont know how many points etc la. The total points we need is 2450, we got 3700+. Each block u climb up is 10 points. Highest is 120 points to the top. Everyone gotta climb at least once. My team members climb finish, i climbed another time. Both to the top. hahax. Then they briefed us briefly about day 3 which we would be rowing the boat around pulau ubin. The camp if we row eastwards, can reach in half an hour, budden they rowed towards the west and made a big round about pulau ubin then reach the destination. LOL. They say to train us. So, we had dinner and met jieying again. This time we talked, she came over and asked me if i finished Mr. Tan's hmwk, i was like no. LOLOL. then she walk off le. and then my watch took our food rations. Went for a more elaborated briefing in the hall, they told us how we were going, which side must be more careful. So, all of us went back to the bunk at abt 9, packed our food into the one blue bin, compass and maps and mess tins, shelters and some ponchos inside another blue bin. Another blue bin contained most of our personal items. Then we brought 5 bags there. One inside is the girl's personal items, another 2 for ponchos. And another 2, the guy's personal items i guess. Then each person have to take 2 2Litres bottle, so we have to have 32 bottles there. Packed the jackknife in, greenwool, iron pegs for the shelter, pot for cooking and stuffs. And then most of us went to sleep.

3rd Day!

Woke around the same time again, had to report at 555, flag raising, jog, warm up and stuffs lidat. Jog finish, some marists came out and volunteered to help do the cool down exercise. So nice. Had breakfast after that, took our lifevests, and brought the things to the seaside. The bins and bags were to put into the safety boat where the instructors were. There would be 4 rowing boats setting off. Once everything is into the boat, we rolled our rowing boat towards the seaside, then push it into the sea. There was 16 in each watch, so 8 person in each boat. We had split fairly the day b4. I was with jerome, yi zhen and 3 other malay girls one of which was the girl who scared of sea, cuz she said she encountered some sea monster b4, and 2 malay boys, zaki and aidiz. We were the last boat to enter the water, then we took over all the rest and then bcame the first boat. Budden, cannot more than 50m apart every boat. Soon after, about an hour or 2 hours, the malays were all tired, then we slowly bcame slower, i nvr stopped rowing though. Had our lunch on the boat, rowed and u could just take energy bar, bread, oreo or fruits etc. Distributed among each watch into the 2 boats. We then bcame super super slow, lagging behind when about 3 and 1/2 hr past bcuz the malays were tired, so the other front boats then stopped at one jetty, dont know whose one, but from pulau ubin. Then, we changed ppl. 3 of our ppl went over to the other Washington's boat. John, sherllie and zhicheng who was from another watch came to my boat. Meaning one of our watch's ppl went to the watch's boat. Then we continued our journey. LOL. After changing ppl, the boat was uber lively and fun. They were like "up, down! up, down" and the rowers had to synchronize. I was the rower throughout. 6 would row, one would control direction, another would look out for blocking objects like boat in front, or rock etc. We then bcame first again. HAHA. For very very long. Until we reach one turning point which was quite dangerous and we needed to wait for the boats that were slower to catch up, then we move on together. Passed tht place, then an unexpected thing cropped up. There was kinda some work done. They layed the rope out into the sea. Then it was floating. 3 boats tried very hard and went over, they use their oars and push the rope down, the rest row the boat, so as not to get it stuck on the rudders which would make the direction of the boat. My boat tried very hard, for about 10-20 mins but still cannot. So, the safety boat drag us out much further into the sea, nearing malaysia, then back near to pulau ubin so as to cross the ropes. Then we started to put our oars back out and row the boat. We became first again, then we had to stop outside pulau ubin village, floating in the sea. Resting, grabbing some bites while waiting for the slow boat. Then we continued on. LOL. My boat was damn funny. They were like at one side saw jellyfish, then the person shout " JELLYFISH! JELLYFISH!" then the other side ppl stand up go the other side, say "where, where?" then about 2,3 times. The boat almost capsize, then they quickly sit down. LOLOL. Damn funny. John and Zhicheng keep scaring sherllie tht they will capsize the boat, but it is just say say only.. Budden, bcuz my boat had the girl with the phoebia, she was really very scared, she keep tearing. Then nvr scare le. We continued rowing and rowing again. Then we were the 2nd boat, then we see the 1st boat reach, then we like omg, finally. then we were about 20m away. Then we quickly row there. LOL. We rowed for 7 hours siax! So shuang. Had erlot of sunburn. Uber pain. So we went to settle down, built our shelter n went to shower. Then we cooked our food. And then we unpacked everything and changed our 3 blue bins with another group into 11 bagpacks. Then we distributed food into everyone's bagpack, everyone carry fairly, budden i carry all the greenwool and iron pegs, scared ppl lost. Went to sleep, it was so hard to sleep. Had sunburn on neck, sleep backwards pain, sleep face down, and it was so hard, so i slept on my arm, also got sunburn, so pain...

4th day!

Woke up at 7. My watch took their own sweet time, and we was cropped up by the shelter, cuz we the day before ask tock seng some ppl to help us knock the bamboo in the ground. The bamboo they knock in about 4 inches deep. LIKE OMGOD. we take so long to pull it out. In the end, we were late, Cindy cancelled our activity. And it was flying fox. We sit in the sun for 1 hour, the other hour the instructor from tock seng was kind to let us sit in the shade. Had a gathering, then we were discussing the situation. Then we went off to eat our lunch. Ate bread etc again. Then i was the i/c for the day, or for the next 2 days. And suppose to have 2 other navigator, in the end i also bcome the navigator. So, we were told to use the map and compass, told where to go, etc. We set off, each carrying a bag about 15 to 25kg. LOL. Halfway, my navigator, John, again made the mistake of wanting to be fast, he nvr check compass, which side is north and he just turn to where the map says turn.In the end, i bcame the navigator. We walked for abt an hour plus, and reached the south of pulau ubin. We were suppose to find a yellow hut there. It was a german girl temple. We saw tock seng there. Their instructor explained abt the temple. We then waited for cindy to arrive, cuz she got us to set out earlier first. Budden, the other watch the instructor nvr taught them which way was correct though she walked with the watch. So, cindy came, she nvr explain, she just ask us the history which was written on the printed newspaper. The german girl tried to ran away from the british and fell into the quarry and passed away. Then ppl prayed for the girl, so as not to make the parents so sad. Budden, ppl then striked lottery and started praying to her. ok, then we continued on. The malays when reaching, the wanted to rest. So we rest. In the end, i brought the watch to our camping place! HOORAY!!=) so pro. My map reading not bad. HAHHAHA. Started building our shelter again. Then we cooked again. And so, there was about 4 watches there, all 4 tht first started out at camp site 1. By 8+, we were done having dinner, and the instructors say the time till 11, we could talk and chat. And so, most of us did, and many walked ard etc with their torchlight. By 11+ there were quite erlot sleeping. I decided to sleep with Wei Su, Macus and Jun Yan from Tock Seng. Budden, me and wei su sat upright and chatted till 12+ or 1+ and there was also a group of 5 girls and another guys in front of us talking, then they were talking quite loud and they anyhow flash torchlight. Then we ask them be considerate etc. Then, by 1+ i was uber tired, i went to sleep.

5th Day

Woke up at 5!!! Tock Seng cooked their breakfast, they had the canned food cooked, like campbell soup etc. My watch wanted to eat bread etc. Tock Seng made a fire and cooked, they gave me some to eat. Nice marist friends indeed!=) Tock Seng set off back to camp 1 at 7. We set off at 710. So, we trekked back again. At one point we met tock seng then i checked compass and map, then go the way they went too. i was kinda not sure which way i turned to. Then halfway, my instructor told me, where i was around. Then i asked them to walk back, then we walked the other route back to camp 1. We took about 2hours to reach back. The time we walked back, my watch walk uber fast. They want to go back faster. LOLOL. Its uber comical. Then we reached back camp site 1 at abt 930, 945. We unpacked and placed things back into the store, we didn't lost anything, except that one compass got one crack line on it, and it cost $11.60! budden it is still usable! nvm la, one person 70 cents cuz 16 ppl, so its very ok. Then we had lunch at 12 lidat. After lunch, we counted the number of plates etc for my watch again. They lost a plate, a bowl and a tray. One plate $4, one tray $6 and a bowl $2. Like where got so ex one, nvm. We split again. So its quite reasonable. We then went to the hall, talked about the previous days. And summarize everything with Cindy. She gave us evaluation form to fill in, our certificate and a photo printed for our watch. Then we talked while waiting for our watches. LOL. We talked erlot of funny things. The malay people are damn funny. When jerome was sleeping, then they put toothpaste on his leg, then put powder on his palm. When jerome was sleeping, then he wipe his face with his hand, then he didnt know got powder. Then the next day, ppl ask what happen to him, why so white, he say i think cuz last night i put insect repellent on my body. LOLOLOL. Its damn funny. And we talked about lotsa funny things. Then, the course director came in and gave an ending speech. And then soon, they say northbrooks have a boat waiting for them already. Then 3 of them left to go. Then it was the marist. It felt kinda sad to leave then. New friends. but nvm la. Then, marist entered the same boat! Its fitted the group of northbrooks people, and all the marists. I enter, then the northbrooks ppl from my watch shout my name. LOL. Must be miss me. Then the boat also allowed about 10 broadricks ppl into the boat, and one of them who entered was from my watch. Took the journey back to Singapore!! Oh my, and my parents were waiting there. Hahx. They brought me to eat some dessert b4 going to collect my colours award. I also don't know why i this year got colours award. Anyway, after the awards, went home, unpack everything and slack. It was so nice to be home.

Saturday.

Woke up at 9+ went for tuition which start at 1115. I reached about 1130. The girl in the same tuition i met at OBS didn't go for tuition. LOL. must be too tired. Me and shun zhong then went to funan, bought his Klipshe speakers. Cool. $279. Then we went to his house. Unpacked his speakers, took out the one he sold me, put it into the box and fix his new speakers. Then went for dinner with his parents and him, came back, weiyang was waiting at the door, he came to watch liverpool's match. I left shun zhong's house at 930. My dad reached the place at 930. Went home, showered and installed my speakers etc until 11+, 12 lidat. The speakers uber solid. Its a 5:1 speaker, meaning i have a surround sound now in my room. I also have a tv and xbox 360 in my room, but i think i will not use those often though.

Today!

Woke at 8 again. Waking up early again, dont know why. Went for tuition at 1130. After that took 159 to tp, ate ljs and waited for lp. Didn't study, no time and i was still in my camp mood though. HAHHA! sorry, didn;t talk to u much=X and sorry that i couldn't go find u after trg=( went for trg. quite lousy. I really feel like changing back to short pimp. Aiya, dont know la. Coach will nag again. Took 135 home after trg to have my dinner. I'm so guai, they ask me home for dinner and i did went home. After that, slacked till 9+ and started blogging this. But! Up till now, havent finish. Ok, now it really has reached the ending.
